After running and climbing pretty obsessively in my teens and through university, I started running again in my late 30s to get fitter. Living on the side of Moel Famau in the Bryniau Clwyd it didn’t take long for me to start running in the hills again and I haven’t looked back since.
Fell running has been an enormously positive part of my life and it’s difficult to put into words how much time spent on the moors and mountains of Wales means to me. Fell running has given me so much and I felt that was important to put something back into the sport. I organise the Nant Gain and Famau Fell Relay races and joined the WFRA Committee as an Ordinary Member in 2025.
As an Ordinary Member I represent the non-Committee membership of association. I hope that I’m fairly representative of the average member being a very enthusiastic, very committed but distinctly average fell runner.
